2-hour workshop covering:

  • A brief history and science of sourdough - the original leavened bread.

  • Starter maintenance and uses.

  • Basic sourdough artisan loaf recipe.

  • Mixing and shaping.

  • Baking and the best part- tasting!

What you will gain from this workshop:

  • A basic understanding of sourdough, the steps to maintain a starter and the techniques to mix and shape an artisan loaf.

  • We will provide some active starter for you to take home to continue maintaining and making sourdough recipes. (container will be provided)

  • At the workshop you will mill your own whole wheat flour to mix your own sourdough loaf, which you will take with you to bake at home. (container will be provided)
